Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a few questions people often ask before becoming a member. Nothing formal — just honest answers from my kitchen to yours.
‘Can’t I just find a food community on YouTube or Instagram or Facebook?’
Sure — you’ll find pieces everywhere. But The Golden Polar Bear brings it all together, under one quiet roof.
This is a one-off. A rare guest from a faraway land — here to offer cake, care, and food for the child in ev’ry adult.
‘Do I need a fancy kitchen?’
Not at all. Basics are fine. My own setup is minimal — I believe attitude matters more than kit.
Should I buy new equipment?
Eventually, maybe. Once you’re further into the journey, you’ll know what you really want.
What skills do I need?
Just enough curiosity to cook for yourself. This is for those who are a bit stuck — and for those who’d like company at the table.
How can I reach you?
I don’t bite! You’d be surprised at how many questions I’m asked! [email protected]
‘Phenomenal food.’

‘Totally recommend the cookery courses. The meals are really tasty and full of flavour (not like most of the vegan mush I make for myself).’
